skip to main content search form search search form search transforming musicology an ahrc digital transformations project home research musicological research topics technical research topics mini-projects publications events people blog news follow-on activities home research musicological research topics technical research topics mini-projects publications events people blog news follow-on activities transforming musicology overview transforming musicology was one of three large grants funded by the ahrc digital transformations theme , bringing together researchers from goldsmiths university of london, queen mary university of london, the university of oxford, and beyond between 2013 and 2017. through ten topics and mini-projects , the project explored how emerging technologies for working with music as sound and score can transform musicology, both as an academic discipline and as a practice outside of universities. transforming musicology held several events to engage musicologists and the general public, and initiated ongoing activities to build international communities through the digital musicology workshop at the university of oxford digital humanities summer school, and the diglta libraries for musicology workshop. the impact of transforming musicology continues through the adoption of its tools and methods in three follow-on projects : learn to play, digital delius, and unlocking musicology. research publications events people blog view blog entries from the project news project news and annnouncements follow-on activities list of site pages
